Why sleep coaching?
Long story short, both my babies were unhappy, uncomfortable and extremely unsettled from day dot.
Lockdown hit and I plummeted. It felt like there was nothing I could do. I wasn’t taken seriously in the beginning by any medical professionals, being constantly told that ‘babies are sick’. Yes, true. But do they projectile vomit metres across the room, scream uncontrollably for 20 out of 24 hours and never sleep?
Freddie & Darcey were both severe reflux cases with intolerances and allergies to boot. It took a very long time to help my babies, numerous professionals, medications, specialists. The list goes on. And on.
The best support I received was from a Sleep Coach. It changed my life. It was someone to talk to. She listened to me, supported and validated my suspicions. I wasn’t going crazy after all!
I knew from then on that I wanted to help and support other parents in similar situations. I wanted to pass on ALL the knowledge I’ve gained through my experiences and six months extensive training. I want parents to know they are not alone on this journey and that I can help.
You and your baby will sleep again. There is hope! I promise. And you will get through this.
My expertise
I have a huge amount of experience with REFLUX and ALLERGIES/INTOLERANCES/CMPA and how these sensitivities impact little one’s sleep and their gut health.
My eldest Freddie was also diagnosed with sleep apnoea at 16 months old and underwent surgery to have his tonsils & adenoids removed, and grommets inserted to prevent recurring ear infections.
I have close relationships with tongue tie/oral function specialists, lactation consultants, ENTs & paediatric consultants, cranial osteopaths and paediatric nutritionists.
How I work
I always suggest booking in for a chat to see whether I’m the right sleep coach for you. I think this is really important. I offer a free 15 minute intro call where we can have a brief chat and see what’s what.
My packages include a thorough phone consultation where I take it back to the beginning and towards the end of our call, we’ll discuss my recommendations, sleep plan and any sleep coaching methods decided upon.
Those who opt for my Better Sleep or Home Sleep package will receive 14 days WhatsApp support. Word of warning… you’ll be hearing my voice A LOT during this time. I think this is actually my favourite part of what I do. Checking in daily, getting to know my clients and their little ones personally. It really is a pleasure and a joy!
I always offer a weekly follow up or ‘check in’ or ‘sign off’ call which is in place to discuss any tweaks to routine or mix up the sleep methods. Generally to chat about what’s working for you and what’s not.
